David is an experienced corporate financier having worked in depth across a number of disciplines including lead advisory, equity investment and the provision of debt.  He qualified with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1998 before moving from their audit practice to corporate finance advisory, where he worked on a number of transactions encompassing acquisitions, disposals and buyouts across London and the Thames Valley.

In 2002 David joined Bank of Scotland’s leveraged finance division providing tailored debt solutions, primarily to mid market buyouts, buy ins and acquisitions where he successfully led and completed a number of transactions, supporting both private equity and corporates, from the smaller end up to around £50m.

In 2004 David joined the bank’s newly formed regional Integrated Finance business where his role expanded from pure debt into debt and equity investment on transactions typically in the £10m to £150m range.  The flexibility of the product ensured David was exposed to a highly diverse range of clients, funding scenarios and roles, resulting in an extensive skillset he continues to apply at HW Corporate Finance.

In his spare time David enjoys fly fishing, shooting and gardening but is most at home behind his drum kit, annoying the neighbours.
